In some cases, packages may include additional services with other modalities within our practice, such as skin tightening treatments, to enhance results, especially if there is sagging skin or other concerns. What can patients expect?
After Kybella® treatment, patients can expect some temporary side effects as the body works to break down and eliminate the targeted fat. Swelling is the most common effect and usually lasts for a few days but can persist for up to a week or more, depending on the number of vials used. Mild bruising, numbness, tingling, and tenderness in the treated area are also common but typically resolve within a week. In some cases, lumps or bumps may form under the skin as the fat cells are naturally absorbed by the body. Results typically become noticeable within 4-6 weeks, with the full outcome visible after a few months.
